DIGITAL DOWNLOAD: Thigh Hitch Sequencing
Thigh Hitch / Swing Seat Sequencing
This guide is a curated (though certainly not exhaustive) collection of thigh hitch entrances, exits, classic positions, transitions, and some of MSC’s favorite combinations.
Throughout this manual, you'll have the opportunity to revisit movement concepts such as fluid dynamic entrances, C-shaping, center spins, flexible pathways, secretary sit/ swing seat, and the many moments that connect them.
Challenge yourself to reverse sequences, change your direction of travel, or substitute different entrances and exits. Small adjustments can create entirely new movement possibilities. Experiment, play, and discover new pathways. I'd love to see the combinations you create, the sequences you refine, and the favorites that become part of your own aerial vocabulary!

Included are 19 video demos that will take you through:

DISCLAIMER: Aerial arts are a VERY dangerous practice. They require body awareness, control (ability to hold positions and move through pathways with respect for transitions), and strength built through good form habits learned in classes and lessons with a qualified coach. Learning from online resources can be a great avenue when also accompanied by hands-on coaching - there are many nuances to aerial wraps and positioning, engagement or control of the body that are difficult to understand the reasoning or importance behind. Always work safely over a mat and always try new things from the ground first! All exercises in this manual are executed at your own risk. Moody Street Circus LLC and all persons involved in the creation of this guide will not accept responsibility for injury to any degree as a result of practicing the drills in this manual. Always consult a professional rigger to make sure your apparatus is safe.
Skills are always best ”unwrapped” with a coach at your side!
