Rhea’s Story. Part 25.

« Living an authentic life sometimes means, however, that you don’t always please everybody. I don’t mind pleasing people in an audience, but I might be a rebel outside of that. But being a rebel means I want to be myself. Basically, you do sort of have these theories about how an authentic life is supposed to be lived, but they also sort of come from a natural thing ...you have some idea about what is right and wrong for yourself and for others and then you try to do this. »

First Photo by Dreamer’s Realm Photography from a 2011 Fred Elias Concert at our studio. Second photo I took at a taverna down the street from our apartment in Athens where we all tried on these funny glasses by Lakis.

From a great interview with Amy Smith / Alizah Afet, first printed in Belly Dance New England in 2003.
