REVERIE

The first edition of Moody Street Circus Studio’s show at the 2025 Deerfield Fair! Featuring MSC students, dancers & friends

We have been given the opportunity to create a 60 minute aerial/ circus show to present at New Hampshire’s Deerfield fair - alongside performances by the Flying Wallenda Family Circus!

This will be a casted showcase, focusing on the energy/ joy of REVERIE! There will be some solo slots, some duo creations as well as ensemble dances/ choreographic fun. We have structured this to include as many aerialists as possible, but we are unfortunately limited by the fact that we only have one aerial point to work with and the 60 minute time constraint. We must display all the love of MSC, from the dance floor to the air: silks, sling, lyra, dance trapeze.

Important Information:

We will be pulling from select past solo student choreographies, potentially with new music assignments.

Melina’s Tuesday Night Belly Dance Mini Session in September will be learning the group choreography (and some transitional combinations) to layer into REVERIE. ALL are welcome to join in that class to participate!

There will be a REVERIE Ensemble session, where registered students will be cast into duos or solos, and participate in group choreographies (opening/ finale). This session will create the bulk of the show!

  • Students will be able to indicate their preferences for acts in the creation process, but ultimately must be excited to perform whatever their assignment ends up being!

  • All students in the REVERIE session will get to be featured on an aerial apparatus, whether solo, duo, or featured moment in group choreography.

REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

  • Two independent open studio rehearsals (bookable independently with discount code provided post-registration).

  • Dress Rehearsal day.

  • Show day participation & showcase registration.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE WORK OFF SEPTEMBER 25th IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE. PERFORMERS WILL NEED TO BE ON SITE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE AROUND NOON (Specifics TBD). WE WILL BE ORGANIZING CARPOOLS AS TRAFFIC AND PARKING CAN BE HECTIC!
