Event Location: The Deerfield Fair is located at 34 Stage Road Deerfield NH 03837
Performer Parking and Entry: The fairgrounds are extensive and can be very crowded during the fair. Please allow time for parking and walking into the fair. Plan to be parked at the fairgrounds no later than 1 hour before your show. On a sunny weekend day know that traffic driving to the fairgrounds can add two to three hours to your trip.
Performers with admission passes: You will be walking into the fair. Your group will be performing on the Main Stage and will want to enter via Gate A, the gate by the fire station along Rt 43, or Gate B, C or D the gates in the general parking area. Parking in the general parking area is free. Parking in the Fairfield Lot, located across from Gate A is a $10 charge per car. Admission passes will be accepted at any entry gates.
Here is a link to a google map of the area
https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0991269,-71.2463637,1145m/data=!3m1!1e3
Note: on this map, the Main Stage area is directly ‘below’ the pin for the Fire Station. That pin is also Gate A. Across Rt 43 from the Fire Station is the pay parking lot.
The general, free parking entry is the Fairgrounds Rd entering off Rt 43 on the ‘lower’ part of the map. This is the horse show area. Performers parking in the free lot should enter here
DO NOT enter via the Fairgrounds Rd off Rt 43 on the ‘upper’ part of the map (near Hartford Brook). This takes you to the camping and livestock area. While you can eventually access parking from this direction, it is much further away from your performance area. This access should only be used if you are familiar with the fairgrounds.

Performers will CARPOOL efficiently and plan to arrive at the fair by 12pm. We will have a free fair entry pass for all performers distributed in advance.
It will be extremely important to PACK WELL and minimally! A single duffelbag/ backpack for costuming and accessories - and small purse for walking around - will be ideal. We will be clearing out all of our materials post-show.
Wear your cover ups and/or MSC swag items to the fair!
The full cast will meet at the performance space (main stage) on the bleachers by 12:30pm. We will walk through the entire show.
After the walk through, all Dancers will run choreographies on the stage.
Ensemble will help set up the aerial rig as this goes on. There will be no opportunity to run aerial acts prior to the show that day.
At 3:30PM The Flying Wallenda’s have a performance at the main stage! We encourage you to watch the show on the bleachers.
At 4:30pm all performers will meet backstage - in full costume.
All performers should have a COVERUP for when they are in costume - ideally black.
At 5:00pm REVERIE will begin on the main stage. Please make sure your guests are sitting in those bleachers ready to cheer for our 5pm opening scene!
The show will conclude by 6:00pm.
Immediately following the show performers will CLEAR the backstage area of all costumes/ belongings. Ensemble members will also help tear down the aerial rig.
-
Ensemble & Soloists:
Please take photos of all costumes/ costume like pieces that you would be happy to wear in the show, you can email them to us - or forward them to us on instagram. We will be steering away from full black for the most part, but if you’ve got a gorgeous/ extravagant black costume feel free to include that as well! Accessorize, accessorize!
-
Dance Troupe:
You will have two costumes for the show, one for each choreography.
LUMINARY (Veil): Dancers in all black (top/ bottoms), silhouette of choice.
OPENING, COKALADA & FINALE: Dancers in big bright colorful skirts, lots of layers - hipscarf/ belts - and gypsy/ pirate style top. Flowers in hair.
Please look through your personal closets/ costume closets to see if you have any pieces or accessories that will match these concepts. Costumes should mostly be built from pieces you already own - and we will have some extra skirts/ pieces available for borrowing for the show date to try on in studio during the session.
Make sure to bring and have these in class for 9/16 and 9/23 - as well as come wearing them for dress rehearsal 9/21
Performers need to take off of work THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 25th in order to participate.
Performers will need to be on-site in NH at 12pm on 9/25.
