"Learn the origins of hand gestures and how to use them with Rhea's elegant postural shifts and arm movements. Beginning dancers will find this an accessible introduction to graceful arm movements, while experienced dancers will enjoy combining the postures and hand gestures with more complex hipwork.
For those with no experience playing finger cymbals, Rhea's proven method using chakra theory will get you on your feet, playing and dancing at the same time. Advanced cymbal and step combos are included to keep you coming back for more!

Rhea: American Belly Dance Pioneer, Master of the exciting Greco-Turkish style! Rhea began her career with Jamila's Troupe Bal Anat in 1968. In the early 1970s, Rhea became a sought-after solo performer and instructor in the San Francisco Bay Area and had her own troupe, NAR al-Nisaa (Women of Fire). in 1977, Rhea left the U.S. to explore the various source of the dance in the Middle East, finally settling in the ancient City of Athens. In the 1980s and 1990s, Rhea headlined at top Athens nightclubs as her fame spread throughout Europe, America and Asia. Based in Athens Greece, she taught and performed all over the world, from Singapore to South Africa. In Greece she is regarded as as the country's premier expert in 'Horo tis Kilias.' Rhea is regularly featured on television an in magazines. Rhea welcomes guest dancers and students from around the world to study in her Athens studio and perform with her troupe. Come soak up the magic of Greece with Rhea!
