This Archive Class Package includes 5 Recorded Classes.

Through various aspects of belly dance movements we will embody the energies elaborated below. All classes will include warm up, undulations, shimmies and traveling steps. If you purchase this package you will get Vimeo links to the recordings of the live zoom classes Melina conducted in December.

Class 1: THE QUEEN. As we enter the darkest month of the year, it is useful to connect into your power and authority in dance. Along the way you may uncover places you sense could use a royal energetic makeover. What kind of Queen do you want to be? What proclamations will you make with your royal scepter? I want to be a queen who can flow emotion without losing her center, one who crowns herself in beauty while speaking fiery truths with compassion.

Class 2: THE DRUMMER. The drummer bids us: just begin, and the beat will carry you along. There are always multiple choices to make, but feeling in to your truth as you are immersed in rhythm will help you find the BEST and most SUPPORTIVE choice for you. In this class we will explore a variety of rhythms (9/8, beladi, various triplets…) and ways to dance them.

Class 3: THE EXPLORER. Time to dream around the world and prepare to manifest for the coming year. No level will be left unexplored, from relevé to ‘belly dance squats’ to lying on the ground. We will travel around the globe to explore different regions where the art of belly dance expresses different energies.

Class 4: THE REVOLUTIONARY. There is ALWAYS the possibility to shake things up and begin anew. It is always within our right to reconsider the structures that we live in and how we want to dance in them. Strategies of spins and turns.

Class 5: THE HEALER. Integrating the discordant energies of the past year, we will move through the chakras and align ourselves for a peaceful year.
