Beginners Aerial Circus Session

Beginners Aerial Circus Session

Beginners Aerial Circus Arts for adults is a 7-week Session. It runs Thursdays from 7 - 8:15 p.m. from 9/13-10/25. Session-only registration, no make ups or drop ins.

Primary Instructor: Melinda Pavlata, with Sacha Pavlata and Zoë Heywood. Limited space is available - register soon before it sells out.

The first class is Thursday September 13 and runs every Thursday evening from 7 - 8:15 p.m. through October 25th. Please be on time to class. You can arrive 10 minutes early. Warm up is very important for injury prevention in aerials.

This class is geared to brand new beginners and will focus on the foundational skills of aerial arts. Students will practice tricks and transitions with an eye toward grace and clean technique in the air. Students will be able to learn and practice basics on all the aerial equipment in the studio: from aerial fabric to static trapeze. Conditioning exercises will be provided for homework!

What to wear: Ideally, footless leggings that cover the backs of the knees and a leotard. If you wear a tank top, make sure it is form fitting. Loose clothing is distracting and can therefore be dangerous when you go upside-down. Leggings are to cover the backs of the knees in order to prevent chaffing. Long hair should be pulled back, toe nails clipped to protect the aerial fabrics and no jewelry is allowed on the equipment. Bring your own water bottle if you can. We do have filtered drinking water at our little sink to refill.

Online waivers must be signed prior to participation in any of our programs. Please let us know if you have any medical conditions we should be aware of. If you have any questions, submit them through our contact portal.
